Our main reasons for starting a feeding scheme was due to a great need to improve learning as well as increase the attention span and attendance of the young learners at schools. A lack of daily nutritious meals for growing children are a reality in South Africa's previously disadvantaged areas. We want to prevent children from being malnourished and ensure them becoming more active, nourished and healthy, also slowing opportunistic HIV infections. We currently feed an average of 900 children per day.
