Five of our cluster schools were given computers, but neither the children nor teachers were skilled in I.T. This programme thus involves Calabash Trust employing I.T. tutors for a period of two years which started from beginning 2009.
About 5000 children receive computer training, although there is a serious need for upgrading current computer hardware in order to cope with appropriate software, as well as to extend the project to other school that lack computers.
It is vital to increase computer literacy in children, teachers and parents in the township communities, especially in these modern times, being so dependent on technology.
